No GTBuy QC photos supplied? Questions to ask before deciding

Treat a missing QC reference as missing information, then ask for evidence tied to your selected item.

An editorial checklist for missing photo evidence. The directory supplies reference counts for some listings; we have not inspected the products or confirmed order-specific QC.

Basis & references ↓

A catalog entry without a positive QC reference count has no such count supplied by the source. It does not tell you whether an order has reached a warehouse or whether a product is good or bad.

Identify the question a photo needs to answer

Write the concern first: size-label accuracy, the width of a garment, a damaged fastening, or the appearance of both shoes. This makes a photo request more precise than asking for “better QC”.

Ask what is available

Ask the seller or shopping service whether it can provide the relevant views or measurements, what they cost and when they can be taken. If the item is not yet available for inspection, keep that status in your notes.

Match the evidence to the option

A reference from another buyer can describe a different batch or size. A seller’s product picture can show a sample. Look for an order reference and the actual selected colour or size before treating an image as evidence about your order.

Keep the decision separate from the count

The QC-reference collection helps find entries with counts, but a higher number is not a quality score. Use the QC photo checklist to record the checks you need, and compare listing photos with warehouse QC photos.

A request that can resolve one missing detail

Example request for a hoodie: please show the selected size label and measure flat chest width from armpit to armpit, with both ends of the ruler visible and the fabric unstretched. This is a request template, not a service we provide. Before ordering, ask whether the seller or agent can take that photo, when it becomes available, whether it costs extra and when a return request must be made. A reply saying that the item looks fine does not answer the measurement question. If the evidence remains unavailable, record the fit question as unresolved.

  1. Listings with supplied QC reference counts

Counts describe the source feed, not passed inspections.

  2. Photo and data sources

What the supplied images and counts can and cannot establish.

Questions about this topic

Does no QC reference mean the product is bad?

No. It means the source did not supply a positive QC reference count for that entry. Request the images or measurements you need from the seller or service instead of treating missing information as a pass or a failure.

What to do when QC is missing
What does the QC reference count mean?

It is the number of QC photo references reported by the source feed. It is not a score, a passed inspection or proof that a photo matches the option you want. A source gallery link is shown only when its public URL is supplied; a count alone does not create an accessible gallery.

What to inspect in QC photos
Can photos prove authenticity or long-term quality?

Photos can document visible details, labels and damage. They cannot on their own establish authenticity, material safety, durability or the reliability of a seller.
